We visited here on a sunday lunchtime so was quite busy.

I was realy impresed with the menu, nobody could say they didn't have much to choose from.

The food did take a little while to arive but this is expected if you go anywhere on a Sunday, and we were in quite a large party.

The food when it did arrive was great. The portions were quite large though, so would have liked a smaller portion with a smaller price.

Children were welcome and well catered for, although we weren't offered anything to entertain them while we waited. Luckily we had taken our own emergency supplies.

Was far too full for desert, so can't comment on these.

All in all we had a very enjoyable sunday lunch here.

Enormous menu, in fact 2 of them. However, food is cooked fresh & takes some time so don't let the menu put you off.
Heavy on the fish - outstanding quality and variety.
Price is highish for a pub but not when you see what you are getting.
Portions huge - never seen anyone order a dessert!
Typical pub/restaurant layout, but not somewhere you would only go for a drink unless you were happy to sit outside.
Several side rooms used in addition - these are pretty much lacking any atmosphere and unless you are in a large group, the silence from other tables is uncomfortable. Best avoided - you are right next to the kitchen so no probs getting hold of a waiter!
