The castle museum in norwich is built on a manmade hill, its one of the oldest in the country, it used to be a jail, and you can still go into the dungeons and have a guided tour(that costs extra) round the battlements, and into the dungeons, complete with death masks and all things jail like from that time. The view from the battlements is amazing as you can see all around the city. there is loads to do in the castle, there is and old well that you can look down, there are rooms of animals and birds, as well as galleries. The museum also holds many exhibitions as well, there is such a lot of stuff to look at, and kids like it too, there are hands on activites for them to do. It has the usual gift shop and a cafe so it can be a good day .

Take the kids on a trip to the castle, they will get a fun and educational day out.
Prices are fair i wouldn't say they were expensive, but it adds up if there is a few of u going.
They have a special Eygptian exhibition.
U can get a guided tour at extra cost, visit the dark dark dungeons.
As it's located in the centre of the city its close to all the shops so u can definately make a day of it in the city and the kids shouldn't get bored
