The Pizza Café has long been a favourite since it opened in the late 1980's, in fact it is where my (now) husband and I had our first date all those years ago! The decor is simple yet refreshing, the place is always clean and the service with a smile.

The Pizza Café has long been a favourite since it opened in the late 1980's, in fact it is where my (now) husband and I had our first date all those years ago! The decor is simple yet refreshing, the place is always clean and the service with a smile.
They cater well for Vegetarians (like me) and children, and they offer pasta meals, pizzas and salads, along with mexican style starters, chicken wings and potato skins. Even though the ice cream is not my favourite type (they use ordinary yellow vanilla from a tub) it goes perfectly with their sundaes and they also offer other flavours - just not the white whipped stuff from a machine.
I recommend booking a table in advance if you want a decent table, as they can be quite busy most evenings! The premises are not large so when busy the restaurant is not too overwhelming nor too noisy I have found.

The Pizza Cafe in Newton Abbot is outstanding. The food truly is delicious. Really amazingly delicious pizzas. I would not hesitate to recommend it. From the outside it can look a little unimpressive. It is always busy. Without fail it is crammed with lots of people chatting and enjoying the brilliant food. The air is unpretentious, the staff friendly and the menu extensive. I love pizza and I love this place. It is extremely good value for money, which is probably part of the reason it is so full. I have not eaten anywhere better in Newton Abbot. If you are in town, check out the Pizza Cafe. That's an order!

fabulous place, theres always a really good atmosphere there and the staff are really friendly. its perfect for groups of friends and all the family. it is reasonably priced and all food is made fresh but there is never a long wait for your order. they do a wide range of food and have THE BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD!! kicks pizza hut's ass!!! their dessert menue is to die for, if you have a sweet tooth i highly reccomend the pizza cafes selection of sundaes. i always leave this place satisfied but with my mouth watering for some more!!!

something of an institution in these parts after 21 years.usually packed and quite noisy but worth it for the affordable freshly prepared pizzas which feature flavours from around the world.my current favorite is the thaitanic with satay sauce cajun chicken and prawns etc.also strong on mexican and wraps.smoothies are to die for.well worth a visit.
