Rupali's is a local institution. It is a great restaurant at very cheap prices, with set menus and good offers. The currys are very authentic, and are amongst the best I have ever had. We attended for a birthday party, and the staff were lots of fun, and brought out a cape and crown for the guest of honor (lovely velvet affair it was too!) and we were served quickly and all the food was hot even though there were 20 of us. From the outside it doesn't look like much, and even inside it seems dated, however appearances can be deceiving, and Rupali's promises to deliver a great night every time you go.

I have to agree with jonny1 - this place is fantastic! The moment you step inside you know this is going to be something special. The aromas and smells of the spices and food just takes your breath away. The service here is most definitely with a smile and you can't help but be caught up in the friendliness of the place! Its contagious! The choice of food is impressive and there is a good range for the vegetarians, although you do have to try their chicken dishes, they are delicious! Prices are also ridiculously cheap - i thought they had missed a couple of meals off - they hadn't they really are low prices!

I heard about this restaurant through VIZ magazine and wanted to try it. I wasn't disapppointed. The place was buzzing with great atmosphere and it was only Wednesday. The food was excellent. The chicken that I had just melted in my mouth and the spices were pefectly blended and not too overpowering. The rice and nan bread were fluffy and light. All in all a brilliant meal. The price was great-value for money..it only cost £5.75!! I would highly recommend others to go and try this restaurant because the food and service was excellent.
