Poor excuse for a restaurant
I had heard several good reports about the Nando's chain and was very disappointed by my only visit to the Newcastle one - I won't be back to any of them. The service was slow and abrupt, the chicken was overpriced in my view and I didn't see any mention of free-range or organic to try and justify this. The chicken was raw for both of us when it arrived, when I eventually caught a waiter's eye to call him over and explain his answer was "So....do you want us to take it back?". No apology, no goodwill offer just a fairly pointless question! When the bill arrived I had to argue to get something back for the raw chicken debacle, eventually I think we managed to get 2 free drinks. Needless to say I didn't leave a tip...
