Reviews for Trent House

Trent house is a strange little pub, it seems to be from another time, nice little boozer with a decent enough pool table, the beer is good and the atmosphere is decent, downside is the size of the place and the fact there always seems a healthy collection of drunks trying to make friends, that kind of thing is funny if your drunk yourself but slightly annoying when you’re trying to play pool with mates. All in the all I quite like the trent house but I struggle to persuade the people who dislike the place as the reasons they don’t like it are all valid reasons, in my opinion the place is worth visiting at least once as they’re aren’t many bars like it left these days

All in all this place is a pretty nice pub, not the best known, but those who do frequent it regard it as one of Newcastle upon Tynes best drinking establishments.

Its very close to both St James Park and the Newcastle Uni campus, and is only a few minutes walk from any of the town centre metro stations.

It's got a couple of cool bars which always attract a really diverse but friendly crowd, and your always sure of a good night any night down at the Trent.

There is a pool table upstairs and the downstairs room still has a classic free jukebox (song choices literally catering for everybody) and a few old arcade machines.

Drink choices are pretty much top class, the service is friendly, and you won't have to pay over the odds here for your favourite cocktail or pint of local best.

Really well run pub - highly recommended!

The Trent House is simply one of the best drinking establishments within Newcastle upon Tyne. It is situated extremely close to the Newcastle University campus and about a 3 minute walk from Haymarket metro station.

There is a downstairs area containing a free jukebox (which contains some excellent songs) and various old arcades. The upstairs area contains a pool table. There is a large choice of drinks and the staff are happy to make any cocktail under the sun (even if you have to tell them how) for cheap prices.

The Trent House has one of the most diverse yet friendliest atmospheres imaginable. The people who run the Trent house also run the famous ‘World HQ’ nightclub which again is excellent. Five out of five.
