Reviews for Brandling Arms

This is a fantastic place to go with friends for a fabulous night out. One of my main problems with the area is the amount of places which are crammed full of youngsters getting drunk and causing trouble. That is definitely NOT the case with the Brandling Arms. The clientelle is definitely sophisticated - possibly due to the type of drink sold here, the prices and also the food. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and nice! its great just to fall into the comfy sofa and chat to friends. The food here is also excellent, not cheap but you get loads. It really is a great place!

Definately the best pub in Gosforth!

There's a really good choice of drinks - no alcopops - which attract a more wine bar type crowd, good music, chilled out atmosphere, good food and good service. What more could you want?!

The staff seem always genuinely pleased to help, and I've seen them helping with baby changing facilities and bottle warming etc.

The food is really good. A bit pricy, but you definately get what you pay for! It always comes out really quickly and it's well made, real 'pub food'. Sunday lunches are really good too, they have papers and big sofas so you can just chill out all day.

I love all the little touches, like the candles and the table numbers. Very girly but very sweet!

Very nice pub with a good selection of beers, lagers and ciders. The decor is fantastic and contributes to a cool and quirky atmosphere. The patrons however, tend not to be cool and quirky but won't bother you as it is not a "local" pub as much as it used to be. On occasions it can be quite loud with an odd choice of music, but overall a very nice place for a drinks with friends.

What a transformation and a very welcome addition to Gosforth's pub options. A wide range of drinks - from cracking lagers to wines to fruit juices to coffees to teas. Blackboards announce a changing menu full of thoughtful tempting meal choices and the interior could almost be like your dream living room - if only you spent less time in pubs and more time kitting your home out with clever comfy sofas, bespoke lighting and trendy wallpaper! There are a lot of thoughtful and original touches to this pub and a lot of reasons to return!
