Gotham Town is a nice place to visit for food and reasonably priced drinks. The decor is very gothic, which gives the place a fantastic atmosphere. Gotham Town is a nice place to visit for food and reasonably priced drinks. The decor is very gothic, which gives the place a fantastic atmosphere. Gotham offers a wide range of drinks and has offers on selected bottles and doubles throuhgout the week. The food is also good value - the burgers are really nice, as are the chicken kievs. Being situated in a prime location, just opposite Central Station, Gotham is very popular with travellers and locals alike. The bar gets very busy at weekends, on match days and on Paddy's Day, but it's well worth a visit if you fancy a pint and a bite to eat.

Gotham Town has been one of my favourite haunts since I was 21 (i'm a bit older now). It's decor is very gothic and there are some interesting stories displayed around the pub of ghostly goings on around Newcastle! The drinks are pretty cheap with an extensive list of cocktails (I love a black russian!) and cheap doubles. The womens toilets are rumoured to be haunted and I never go down there alone- is very creepy! They do reasonable food too – the curly fries are delicious! My only bugbear is how loud the music can be on a weekend – not the place to go on a Friday or Saturday for a chat but great for a dance! A variety of people drink in Gotham and it’s never dull!

Gotham Town is nothing short of impressive when you get inside. On the outside, you could be forgiven for walking straight past it and not giving it a second glance or even remembering that it was ever there. Once you walk through the doors, you’re greeted by a place with more style than you can shake a stick at. The place is very gothic in appearance and gives it a very olde worlde feeling. This is something I consider to be a bit of a hidden gem. I strongly urge you to go in for a drink. Staff and customers are all friendly and they even do meals which are very nice.

Don't be fooled by its bland exterior; Gotham Town has more style and atmosphere than any other pub or bar that i know of. The interior has been designed to be a very gothic style and by that i don't mean as in for people who are 'goths', i mean in the traditional sense of the word. Think of that actual gotham city from Batman (not the more modern films) and you'll get the idea. They have some good food on offer and offer a huge range of drinks. I know of cheaper places but for a great setting, this is the place for me.
