Chutney Restaurant
205 High St, Motherwell, ML1 5HR
Also the bar does a good pint as well!
What I would say to the first guy don't judge a book by it's cover! not that I even agree with you that it does look shabby!
Reviews for Chutney Restaurant
unlike the first review I have been in Chutneys its one of the best Indian's in Motherwell (yes Motherwell ML is a Motherwell post code) The food is great with a good selection. The service is first class.

What is that last review all about? It's seems like someone is obsessed with The Newarthill Inn rather that telling us about food. Plus, how can a review be submitted without actually tasting the food! Trust me. Visit Chutneys. It's not like your normal Indian fayre. Really tasty and in the local area it has a really good name and is very popular. Sometimes Indian food can look as if it is full of colouring. Not here. The Korma doesn't have the insipid yellow colour but is much darker in colour.
Fav - Chilli Korma, Chicken Bhoona
Used to be a pub called the Newarthill Inn (it's in Newarthill, not Motherwell) and used to be run by the family of a work colleague. At that time it was probably only OK because I knew the people who owned it. Having driven past it recently and observed that it has now become an Indian restaurant, I would comment that it looks pretty scabby from the outside. Which of course isn't to say that it's bad inside, but I don't think I'll be finding out any time soon.
