We booked a night here on the strength of a "thank you" web page apparently published by another former guest (http://miltonkeynes.openguides.org/?Telford_House%2C_Stony_Stratford). A little concerned that this might simply be a clever marketing ploy but pressed for time and lacking in any local knowledge, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best - and were very pleasantly surprised (*phew*). The room was spacious, clean, airy and well equipped (double bed, spare single bed, bedside tables and lamps, power sockets, clothes rail and hangers, fireplace, kettle, tea, coffee and milk) with an en-suite bathroom. Traffic was bad en route but we called ahead and our host was very accommodating about re-arranging a time slot to check-in. A blissfully good night's sleep was followed by a delicious full English breakfast. I only wish we'd had time to enjoy it at a more leisurely pace as the breakfast room was fascinating and I'd have loved to have asked our hosts about some of the items they had on display.
