Reviews for The Massala

The Massala is not well known round here for some strange reason,We managed to see it on our way back from university. We thought we would pay a visit here when we finish Uni on the Friday. We came here and liked the design of the restaurant from inside,It was looking very posh inside.

We got a table and took a seat,A friendly gentlemen came to take our orders. He took our orders and we got our food in less than 5 minutes. We was happy with the service we got here,We found the food here to be really delicious.Their menu was mouth watering and we opted with eating the lamb dishes.

The last thing you would expect from a place like Middlesbrough, is to be hiding one of the best Indian restaurants at its heart. Behind the university and close to the town center, lies this little gem of a restaurant, ready to tickle your tastebuds with tingling, spicy goodness.

The first impressions upon arriving is that from the outside, it looks like an ok restaurant. Upon entering you will be greeted by friendly staff at the bar and shown to your tables. The room isn't spaceous. It's narrow and long, so it gets warm and feels a bit crowded but the layout of the room is such that you don't feel like you have no privacy.

The ordering process is fast, the menus are clear and explain the food well. As for the food itself, it will definately surpass your expectations. The ingredients are fresh and fragrant.

This restaurant also does takeaways but it does not do deliveries. And the staff are so nice, they have given us a free beer with each meal most of the time we've ordered a takeaway.
