Middlesborough is well known for it's open mindedness and accepting nature and this bar is no exception, all transgender blacks and homosexuals are welcome. Also welcomed are foreigners, which just proves even further the nature of these open hearted middlesborough folks. However pakis are strictly banned.

Empire is usually a great night out as they have a lot of live music on from big bands to unsigned acts to big name djs.

Love funky is a great night out which happens on a Friday every month.

Its usually about £10 to get in I think but drinks aren’t too badly priced in comparison.

They do under 18s event too to keep the young ones entertained.

The decor is great with three levels with balconies and stages. There’s a different type of music on each floor. Ques to the bar can be a bit of a nightmare but to be fair that’s the case everywhere.

You should usually expect to queue to get in.
