McDonald's Restaurant
5 West Gate, Mansfield, NG18 1RY
It is usually quite difficult to find a seat inside, so if you do buy anything it might be an idea to take it away to eat elsewhere. And even if seat were available, it would still be an idea to eat elsewhere. The atmosphere can be incredibly rowdy and uncomfortable....
Reviews for McDonald's Restaurant
Located on Mansfield’s High Street, this branch of McDonalds tends to get very crowded, with long queues. However, once you get to the tills you tend to be served quite quickly as staff work hard to clear the backlog.

You will usually find a large number of burberry covered teenagers hanging around the entrance, and within the restaurant, further contributing to the poor atmosphere and making it a rather intimidating experience to eat here during busy periods.
As for the food: its McDonalds, cheap and fast, and good if you’re in a hurry. And you don’t care about the taste. Personally, I’d walk for five minutes more and visit the local Subway instead.
It's a McDonald's - you know exactly what to expect.
This branch is located right on the town's main shopping street, a pedestrianised area, just off from the market place.
Lunch times are busiest of course, and it's not uncommon to find a long queue when you get there, often stretching from the the front counter where you place your order, right to the entrance doors. Once inside, it can be difficult or impossible to find a seat during peak times, so if the weather's good, I'd advise that you get a take away and sit on one of the many benches in the market place, near the fountains.
The menu is standard McDondalds: very cheap, American fast food, mainly fries and burgers. Every thing is salty of course! McDonalds have recently made some effort towards developing a healthier menu, for example, adding more fruit options and trying to make these more appealing towards children, but they've still got a very long way to go.
It's best to avoid the place on a Friday or Saturday night as it often fills up with people who are drunk looking for a burger and the place can get quite rowdy and the atmosphere quite unpleasant.
