LOVELY JUBBLY

Gay waiters gave excellent service. set in trendy northern quarter, environment of big wooden tables, candles, large drapes, was fantastic.
Thoroughly enjoyable. I will return!

Visited this pleasant little eatery with Niggle himself this week. Its definitely one of those 'in the know' places and on my experience is worth a visit if you're in the area and packin an appetite. Its very simple, serving lots of tasty sounding soups, stews, salads and other tasty treats. I had a good old fashioned jacket potato with chilli con carne and lovely cheddar cheese. Niggle helped himself to a veggie pastry lattice concoction with 3 side salads. Set us both back about £4 which is pretty reasonable. There's a good range of veggie options and everything's pretty healthy and from the home-cooked end of the scale.

The kind of place I'd like to see more of in London. Good work Manchester folk!

Simple, airy, school canteen style establishment. Great soup, which varies daily. Also serves healthy salads and sandwiches. Get there early for lunch as its getting busier. Recently voted Best Newcomer at the Northern Hospitality Awards. The proprietors second business to The Bay Horse, also in the Northern Quarter and worth a visit.
