For a while I heard really good things about this restaurant but never found the time to try it out. Friends really recommended it and so I finally gave it a try. I wasn’t that keen because it is near the student area on oxford road and just thought that it wouldn’t be as good if they were trying to keep the prices down to get people in. However I have to say that it wasn’t that great. It was reasonably priced and the staff were ok, but they didn’t like it that I had to send my food back because it was cold. Don’t think I would go there again, but they might have just had an off day.
yes the food is quick, too quick.
when you send back a curry because you order vegetarian but they bring meat, you don't really expect a restaurant to just pull out the meat and then bring it back to you
but that's what happened to us!
as for complaining - don't bother, you won't be listened too and the doors will be locked to get you to pay up
Serves authentic oriental food and has a great decor to go with. The aura is relaxed yet formal. There are currently a number of offers on memberships deals. Service is fast and the staff is very polite and friendly. A great place to visit if you are into oriental food and great ambiences.
This is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Manchester. The food is of excellent quality (especially the dim sum) and there's enough variety on the menu to have something different each time - with an assortment of traditional and new dishes.
The décor is reassuring - no gold and red here; it looks much more up-to-date. The service is nice too and the prices are pretty good, although it depends on what you get. Again, the dim sum especially is good value for money compared to the inflated prices you can get in some Chinese places.
There're equal quantities of Chinese and Thai dishes on the menu but I can't vouch for the Thai coz I always go for the Chinese.
The only slightly annoying thing is the nightclub upstairs. It's not owned by the restaurant and it plays its music loudly enough for you to hear it from about 9 or 10 o'clock onwards. Doesn't really fit with the ambiance of the place, but then again it never really bothered me that much.
