Reviews for Tokyo Season
Other sushi restaurants (Yo etc) take note... this place has good customer service, clean, modern decor and an excellent kitchen. Rather than the plasticky primary colours look Yo has managed to glam up such that its prices are somehow palpable to its customers - no doubt in large part due to the perception sushi is a niche, expensive foodstuff - Tokyo Season belies its strange name to provide high quality, tasty sushi presented in a manner previously unseen to most of us in hte UK. The food is presented on either a tiny wooden tray for the smaller amounts, or a round shallow basket with the sushi laid out in their various colours as if they were spokes in its wheel. I'd go for the Japanese green tea over the odd-tasting brown rice tea (its worth a try if youre adventurous tho :) )
The main draw over other sushi places is the price - from 12pm-10pm the sushi is all half price, and the normal prices are far lower than a certain chain too. You cn easily fill yourself up on sushi, or other foods (which I didnt try so as to avail myself of the sushi offer) with some tea for £12-15.
Highly recommended, family run and friendly too!
