Reviews for Fuzion
This is one of my favourite restaurants, it is very cheap, a 2 course meal and a drink always comes in under £10. The peking ribs are great and you can choose your meat(or veg), sauce and type of noodle so there is something for everyone. On the downside it can be cramped if it is busy but it is a fun, lively atmosphere. They also do all the dishes for takeaway. A good place to start a night out in Fallowfield.
Fuzion noodle bar is located in the heart of Fallowfield and on my visits there it seems to be very popular amongst students.
The noodle bar is very much in the same style as Wagamama’s and Tampopo but the great attraction (especially for students) is that the food is of a good quality and is extremely reasonably priced.
As an example of this, a meal for two to include 2 appetisers, prawn crackers, 2 main dishes and a drink or two each will generally set you back around £30. The portion sizes are very generous and the food is tasty but served with a little less finesse than Wagamama’s and Tampopo.
There is a large variety of rice and noodle dishes (several types of noodle available - including Ramen, Udon, Vermicelli etc.)
One downside is that there are no draught beers and the bottles are quite pricey.
Sake is available as an after-meal treat (for those who like that kind of thing!)
With its Wagamamma style cuisine, Fuzion is worth a look for a local overseas meal. Nice setting and restaurant is slightly dampened by the food not being quite as good or large as expected - fairly average springs to mind. A no tap water policy bumps the bill up a bit, especially in a student orientated area, but worth a look none-the-less.
Fusion is an Eastern-style noodle bar like Wagamamma's. It's set out in the same style, with long tables and benches instead of individual tables with chairs around them. Chinese and Japanese influences can both be seen and there's both ready-made and build-your-own dishes, where you can choose the noodles, the meat or vegetables, and the sauce. It's the cheapest noodle bar in Manchester (although they have a no-tap-water policy) and has always been a favourite of mine. The food is good and quickly served, with great service every time I've been.
The one downside is the low-quality disposable chopsticks - if you're not keen on your food tasting of wood, bring your own!
