I think that this is the best music venue in Manchester. I’ve never been to the MEN Arena and so I can’t really comment on it. Having said that, I pass the Bridgewater Hall every time I come into Manchester city centre and the building looks modern, stylish and very well built. It impresses me each time I pass it. Inside the building is just as good and the building has brilliant acoustics, so even if you sit right at the back you’ll still get the full concert experience. Home of the Halle Orchestra, several pop concerts are also now performed here. I think it could well rival the MEN arena.

The Bridgewater Hall is a stunning building in Manchester cicty centre near St Peter's Square. As is standard with concert halls the acoustics are not perfect, despite the fact that the auditorium is on a giant spring (I was told this by an acoustics expert but I may be wrong!) However, you wouldn't notice the imperfections in sound in the modern but elegant auditorium. Classical music fans tell me that it has a much better programme than other Northern venues and cheap tickets can be bought from any point in the circular venue. The programming for popular music events is also good but if they were brave enough to host some less acoustic artists it would be a great venue. The hall also has a great restaurant and nice bars, although getting a drink at the interval can be a struggle.

With an impressive all year round program including regular weekly concerts by two of the World's most famous classical orchestras (The Hallé and the BBC Philharmonic) both of which are resident in Manchester.

There are also Jazz and other concerts, as well as Christmas and New Year concerts and the Summer Manchester Proms.
