The Rtiz can be one of them places where you can have a really good night out then the next you don’t. So it all just depends on the night when you go and whether there are any acts on. It does have artists on so it’s worth finding out what’s on, on the night that you go. It occasionally has some gigs in here and it’s actually a good venue for this. If you have never been then its worth going once to see whether you like it or not, but it’s worth going just to go on the dance floor as its spring loaded and you can have some fun on it I’d try it out before you make your mind up.

I used to occasionally go to the ritz for the alternative monday nights after I'd been to the attic for the free band night, was a good progression for the night. Mondays are pretty good, it's cheap in and they have quite a few drink offers so you can usually get some good deals if you buy the right booze. Half the fun is watching people here, if the top balcony is open go up and sit on the couches and watch some crazy dancing for a while, can be a right laugh. But head down once you're in the mood for dancing as the ritz has a spring loaded dance floor so when you jump, you JUMP! It's also crazy to stand on it while everyone else dances, you wobble all over the place.
