Reviews for Hare & Hounds Hotel
The Hare and Hounds is absolutely brilliant – the perfect antidote to the rest of the Northern Quarter. It takes a bit of getting used to, and the hardest bit about going for the first time is plucking up the courage to walk through the intimidating group of men smoking pipes and fags by the back entrance (off Thomas Street) next to the sex and tattoo shops. Once you’re inside though it’s worth it. The drinks are cheap and I hear the food is ok too, although I’ve never tried it. Upstairs they have live music sometimes which is good, and a legendary karaoke night which is worth going to watch as it’s full of old men doing Frank Sinatra covers.
The staff are really friendly and it’s a good place to watch the football in peace.
