Reviews for The Waterhouse
I've been coming here for a year or two as a regular meeting place and I can't fault it. The food is great, and cheap, and all English which is hard to find these days.
The beer is a decent price, and they have their choice of Ale's too, as well as most beers and lagers. Only thing I can say that's bad about it is that the manager sometimes gets a bit up herself and has been rude to us once or twice, but that's about it.
Get's pretty packed on a Friday and Saturday, so if you want to come here I advise you to find a table early, otherwise you may be left standing up. Love the pub though, and the food, I highly recommend. *****
This is a great weatherspoons and I am a regular for lunch here. It has two entrances a back and front door so you don’t have to walk all the way round which is good. It’s a cosy little pub with little rooms you can eat in. It’s always busy at lunch so make sure you have enough time to eat as there is usually a queue at the bar! But you’ll always find a table. The food has always been really good pub grub at cheap prices and the drinks are reasonable too! The menu is quite big which is good and look out for the offers it’s always good to save a bit of money! Definitely worth trying.
I love The Waterhouse. Even those who turn their noses up at Wetherspoons love The Waterhouse. Named after the bloke who designed the town hall (Alfred Waterhouse) the pub is traditional yet contemporary. Split into several different rooms with cosy fireplaces, the pub was non-smoking way before it became the law. It's always busy (particularly for Curry Club on a Thursday) but the service is efficient and the beers of offer are great.
