Reviews for Night and Day
If you want to see some of the finest bands within the UK (and beyond) within an intimate setting then the Night and Day Café will have your heart racing with excitement.
The venue itself is a Victorian shop-front converted to be a replica of a Dutch coffee house which by day is exactly that (serving quite reasonable lunch time food) and by night becomes the key place for gigs within Greater Manchester, serving bottled beers, cocktails and loud music!
The low stage is located at the back of the venue with a passage to the left allowing customers (and band members) access to the toilet but also allows sussed punters to stand to the side of the stage and gain unprecedented views of the bands.
In all, a must visit regardless of the band playing.
Home to some of the best live indie bands old and new in Manchester and with a cheap bar, it's definitely worth a visit. The price of entry to some gigs can be a little on the pricey side and the decor leaves something to be desired. However, the venue has a great feel and you can get so close to the acts that you can touch them (if you felt the urge). Also serves some decent food (all day veggie breakfast is spot on).
