Reviews for Sinclairs Oyster Bar
Nice place, shame about the folk!
A lovely little old style pub, with cheap ‘no name’ beers which is always worth checking out, however it is usually full of unsightly folk in the evenings, and seems to always be covered in beer. Its worth coming here for the experience, but unless its lovely outside and you can sit with a beer, go somewhere else as you find the prices of beer offset the kinds of people who frequent this place. Although I’m being harsh as I’ve hardly had a good night here, it is nice and cheap and is better during the day. Close to the shops which almost makes up for it.
this is the other old pub in the square with the wellington. there is a large outside seating area (im never sure which pub it belongs to!) and the pub itself is really old with lots of ales to choose from. You can dine upstairs (up the old 16th century staircase) in the restarant, this is still pub food though and we often have the homemade pie! Its very quaint up there but its also got good veiws of manchester. the location is great and as soon as you step outside you have all the shops right there. dont be put off by the name, it doesn't serve oysters!
