Reviews for Jonathans Restaurant
Visited this restaurant last Friday night and despite being packed the service from staff were top notch, even allowing us to bring in our own birthday cake and for £15 a head including drinks you can’t complain. Service was friendly and efficient, food was tasty and well presented and portion sizes were good.
It did get very noisy at times although it was never unbearable and a lot quieter compared to other restaurants in town. Would recommend booking a table as several people who came after us had to wait several minutes before being seated. The wine list isn’t the best although the prices did make up for it.
I love this place and always suggest it when we go out for a meal.
Brilliant food - pizza, pasta, salad, other dishes - real international mix
Deserts - look fab but portions are so big I've never had one!
Service is fab - lovely and friendly staff
Toilets very clean, always a good sign
Parking a problems though there is a little car park round the back!
I've been to Jonathans a couple of times now. Both times the food has been good - you know what you're going to get..good, reasonably authentic Italian food. It's pretty hard to find a good place to eat in central Maidenhead, so this is a good find.
Prices are good, and service is fine. It's not usually too busy at lunch time, with a relaxed but upmarket atmosphere.
Having been here several times, I can say that I've never had an average meal at Jonathans. Excellent quality Italian food. I recommend the ciabatta (fresh baked) and oil, the olive boat with its crunchy cloves of garlic, and any spaghetti or ravioli. You can trust the menu beyond my suggestions - I just haven't tried it all yet!
The tiramisu is a perfect finish to your meal and I've never had a finer plate of it.
The staff are friendly, the interior is clean, modern and un-fussy, and the prices are much less than you'd expect for the high quality of the food. (You'd pay double in London for what you get here.) I'd eat here weekly if I could.
