Appalling service and rubbish food. 1st September 2008

KFC is a well known takeaway brand which is respected for being nice tasting by some people. However after seeing several websites about the cruel conditions the chickens are kept in before being killed I was put off going there. A few weeks ago I was on a night out and this was one of the few places open that didn’t have queues out the door so I decided to go in and have a look. I now know why there weren’t any queues.

The service we received was appalling, we had to wait for 10 minutes before anybody came to take our order despite the fact that there were a total of about 7 people in there all queuing there were no staff to be seen. When they did turn up they were rather rude and not at all helpful when we asked if certain foods contained allergens as one of my friends was allergic to some ingredients. When we had finally ordered the food came and the burger had a hair in the box with it. As well as that the chips were stone cold, I will NEVER be eating there again.

The picture isn't mine, but it looks almost the same as what I found in our family bucket.
Imagine enjoying your food then taking a bite into a piece of, what you thought was wing, and a brain falling onto the table.
That is exactly what happened to me in Wimbledon KFC.
My friend who I was with threw up at the sight of it and on closer inspection of the piece of chicken we noticed an eye socket an the other piece of the brain.

I showed the piece of chicken to the staff member at the till and asked to speak to the manager. She took the piece off me and chucked it in the bin, I told the manager how discussed I was demanded my money back, to which she told me, sorry we can't do that, have another piece of chicken for free.
I'm sorry, but after seeing that, I didn't ever want to go there again.
After a long disagreement the manager said, and I qoute...
"It's not our fault, sometimes the chefs, they miss bits when cleaning the chicken"
This is NOT the attitude to have!
They refused to give me my money back, even after being threatened with the health services.

I haven't been to KFC since then and also became a veterinarian as the thought of meat now makes me feel sick.
