Hello Angelique here from hungryhouse.co.uk, I have been taking a look at some of our top rated restaurants on our site and came across The Chutney. It has been given 4.5 stars out of 5 in value, service and quality. Making it 1 of the best rated places in the Herne Hill area. Our customers who have ordered takeaway through our website have written "Altogether a very enjoyable experience and one we'll return to very soon." and "First time we'd tried this restaurant. The food was first class with one or two items we'd never encountered before." Also I noticed that they have a happy hour from 17:00 until 19:30 and you can get a complete meal with starters, sides and a main dish for just £6.95.
I am wondering if you might have anything to add? Have you tried The Chutney or do you have a favourite place you head to when your tummy is rumbling? Please do some sharing and let me know!

Don't be deceived by the shabby exterior; the Chutney in Herne Hill serves a great takeaway with free local delivery over £10. The portions are more than generous - a curry and a rice being plenty for two (although I have managed one by myself on more than one occasion!) - and the Dal Makani is an especially delicious meat free dish for any veggies out there. My personal favourite is the Chicken Bhuna but I'm told the Lamb Madras is very good too. Delivery is pretty prompt and sets you up well for a night in, and unless it's changed this year, you get a free calendar with your takeaway at Christmas time!
