Toffs is my favourite fish restaurant and take away. It's slightly dearer than the average fish & chips but portions are huge and always cooked to perfection. If you eat in, the manager always makes sure that the food on your plate looks and tastes right. He replaced the chips I was given without me saying a word because he said they looked over cooked. When i was pregnant he recommended that I try a different dressing because the one I had chosen had raw egg in it. And everyone is really friendly, shame they havent' got many tables so you might have to queue if you turn up at busy times.
They also do grilled fish to take away if you want to watch the calories.

lovely place, but expensive so only treat yourself since there's many cheaper good chippies around. Found it slightly greasy but still delicious, and I have had greasier. I don't usually go for curry sauce or anything but I found it strange it was missing. It's not like they can't make gourmet or homemade sauces. I’m sure that would be a sure selling campaign but I think peas might be available.

The staff are warm and friendly, the atmosphere is great and I would recommend eating in.

Also, I went there a long time ago once and I remember them not having tomato ketchup! Hopefully thats been amended but all in all, a treat once in a blue moon.

I've been using this chippie for years and have always found it expensive.. ok, they do have lots of different fish on offer but the batter is greasy and the chips always seem to have more small crispy bits than big juicy chips. You always feel that you have just been served the 'dregs' of the chip pan.

They don't serve curry sauce or gravy (and turn their noses up when you ask). I've often heard people ask about this (must be lots of northerners in London) but they don't seem interested in this huge opportunity!

Absolutely delicious fish and chips, but definitely on the 'gormet' side so be prepared to pay over the odds for it.

Dine in and relish the experience - take out and remember to bring an insulating bag since every time I got a takeaway it was cold after a 5 minute walk.
