Totally agree with the other review here. I bought a pair of boots in early December, and five weeks later one of the heels has come off. I took them back to the shop asking them to repair it, and they said they could do that but I would have to pay for it. I said that clearly I was still within my statutory rights and shoes were expected to last longer than four weeks, but the guy acted stupid and said he knew no rights. The shoes had been on sale and there were no rights. He was very rude as well, didn't let me say a word without interrupting. I asked to speak to his manager, who (conveniently) wasn't in, but I'll be back in a few days for the second round. I can't believe there are still shops that seriously think they can get away with that sort of treatment and who claim (!) not to have heard of consumers' rights. I was speechless.
If you're shopping in the area, STAY CLEAR!!!

Walk Shoes Oxford Street - AVOID! 19th January 2009

I have had exactly the same issue as some other shoppers here - the sole on my shoes split across the width only 8 weeks after I bought them. The manager of the store (Oxford Street) said that their shoes are only guaranteed for 28 days. My argument that the shoes were not fit for purpose was resolutely ignored. When I said did he agree then that a consumer should not reasonably expect shoes from his store (these particular ones priced full price at £40) to not last longer than 28 days - “they’re plastic” was his response!! I didn’t even want a refund, just repair or replace. Steer clear.
