What a fantastic shop with a proud and continuing history, starting with the manufacture of hob nail boots in 1851 to being the 1st retailer of Dr. Martens in 1958.

All the great British brands are here and directly link with the 'Best of British' pop culture from the 60's right up until present day.

Reviews for The British Boot Company

у нас в России нет некоторых моделей предстваленной здесь обуви. Это огорчает, однако.

I bought a pair of hard to find Gripfasts for my boyfriend for his birthday. I had to return the shoes for another size. It took over 4 months for them to send me the shoes back. I kept emailing them and they kept telling me that they were sent and that it just takes a while to get through customs. Actually, they never sent them out and were making up excuses. I dealt with SIMON, and he flat out lied to me on SIX different occasions in writing. I will be glad to share these emails with you. Don't use these guys! You can't trust them!

Great casual, with different designs, from the traditional thing, to the originality of the season, colors that rarely you find in any other shoe store. The quality is top, I still have got some shoes from my teen years. I find them still very useful, even if colorful.

The worst part: the prices. The shoes are very expensive. I always get them on sale, but even then they make a hole in my wallet. I try to save on clothes to spend here. Anyway, I think they sell the loveliest boots and shoes. Great way to look original (which is difficult when other shoe shop is selling the same designs).

Ian Dury, SLF, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Uk Subs have all shopped here.

On top of that it is still owned and run as a family business currently headed up by Nick who is an absolute Guru on the British shoe industry and on Dr. Martens in particular (they even call him up to check pattern codes for previous designs).

Everything about this shop shouts British and proud of it.

My next purchase here will be a pair of Blue Suede, George Cox Brothel Creepers, limited edition, of course.

60-70% of the sales are International purchased from the very informative and user friendly website with many clients scheduling a visit when they are in London.

Check out the website for a tour of recent British historical fact, an institution for the Rock generation.

About 20 years ago I had a boyfriend who wore Blue Suede Brothel Creepers - I thought he was so cool!
