  Politics Aside, This Place Is Really Cheap

  Primark have has some bad press recently over so called slave labour. But it is difficult to compare our values and cultures with those of an eastern country without being bias.
  So keeping the politics aside with the sometimes bias reporting, basically the items that Primark sell are amazingly cheap, so cheap that it is often easier to thrown the item away and get a new one from Primark rather than getting it repaired. The quality is not brilliant but you definitely get what you pay for and if they are so bad there are still plenty of people who will shop there because it saves you money and who wants to pay a fortune for a top or outfit when you can get it here for a few quid.
  They specialise in kids and women’s clothing and the clothing is practical and in some ways fashionable as well. They also sell household items like towels and things really cheaply.

  I love Primark. First time I saw it, it was in Ireland (where it is called Penneys). Apparently, it was before a very granny shop. The kind old ladies love. However, the owners revamped it into a great high-street shop.
  
  If you are looking for the latest Prada-like dress, it is there. If you want the lastest clutch, you can find it there for five pounds. The quality is not always good. Some seams do split up, the shoes are horrible (I mean, they are beautiful, but the quality is so bad). However, it is worth it every penny if you shop for coats or for dresses.

  Fab-just don't think about the kids in the factory

  I went to Primark, old-school style. This means I visited the Kilburn location, which has been around waaaaaaaay before the 'flagship' store on Oxford St.
  
  Due to a guilty conscious from thinking about the poor kids making 10 pence a day in the factories so that we can buy our disposable clothing, I try not shop at Primark much. But hey, I am only human and Primark has some of the best deals around! And, unbelievably,upon checking out, I realized that I had magically saved an additional 12 pounds on merchandise which was already practically free, due to a mysterious 'sale'.
  
  Besides the downside of contributing to exploiting cheap labour in developing countries, Primark is always SOOOO BUSY! Endless queues and being jammed by elbows are the norm of this place. Luckily for me it was Mother's day when I went, and it seems like Primark is not the place where where people splash out for dear ol' mum.
  
  If you go, I recommend to stay away from buying clothing as one pull on a loose thread can leave you naked in moments. (Unless, that is the look you are going for).
