Reviews for Mudra

Swaad has now changed to Mudra. If such a thing is possible it is even better. It's the best indian restaurant in Leytonstone - just not at the fashionable top-end of the High Road. It's well worth the five minute walk from the station. The food is delicious and includes a great selection for vegetarians and vegans. The masalla dosas are fantastic. A meal in themselves. The modern, spacious setting is very relaxing and although you can eat quickly if you want to it's perfect place to relax over a memorable meal with a group of friends.

The Swaad is an absolute delight of a place. The staff were friendly and charming and especially accommodating to our slightly boisterous 18-month-old (this was during a fairly quiet Sunday afternoon visit at the end of lunchtime so I should stress that other diners didn't suffer) and we were made to feel most welcome. The food was very good, with a pleasantly unexpected selection of dishes and some excellent vegetarian options too. It might not be the fanciest restaurant in town but it has a very pleasant atmosphere and is a good bet of all the eateries in Leytonstone for a visit.

Wonderful South Indian food. My friends & I have tried much of the menu and found it refreshingly well cooked. I think the food is prepared by a proper chef who cares. The Kerala fish curry can be recommended, as can the Fish Moly, but I don't really think you can go wrong. Prices are very reasonable. The downside is the time they can take to serve the food. I went there when they first opened, last March & they are much quicker now. The service is extremely friendly – everyone really seems to care.
