Reviews for Meraz Cafe

There is alot of indian competition in the area around brick lane but this one really stands out.
First of all the athetics of the resturant are alot nicer than some of the "cheaper" indians. The build quality of the furnishings is of high quality and the general feel of the restraunt is plesant.
There is a great selection of dishes from ones which will burn your mouth to the smooth dishes like butter chicken. I personally like really hot dishes and was happy they had a dish that challenged me and actualy made me sweat!
If you want an indian and your in the area check out this place first!.

i have been going to meraz for almost 5 years now and wouldnt consider getting a curry from anywhere else. the owner, sammy, is very friendly and makes everyone feel at home. you wouldnt think much from the outside but once the food arrives it is another matter. unbelievably cheap for brick lane. big fan of the daily specials especially the "traditional" korma whenever that is on and the tandori lamb chops are another must. great place to go with a big group.

Say no to brick lane when you are in this area, and enjoy some real food. Blisteringly hot tarka dall for the afficionados and excellent value throughout.

Among the many indian restaurants on and around Brick Lane, there is only one that doesn't try to lure you in with "free wine" and "20% off for you, sir". That place is called Meraz. Not only do they not bother you, they also serve the very best curry I have ever eaten, and they do that for harldy any cost at all. For 12 pounds you can easily feed 3 grown men. They don't serve alcohol but don't mind you taking your own from the off-licence around the corner! That just makes it extra cool.
The place it self doesn't look great, but try it, it's worth it!!
