We were looking for soto ayam (ayam is chicken and soto ayam is a soup). The man in charge produced a different menu. The one we were originally given had it listed with the ingredients in English as Chicken soup.
It's hard to park nearby as this place is by the traffic lights and people were actually double parked. The main road has a slip road on one side....
Reviews for Jakarta
Smart for the area. Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia. But they also have some Malaysian and Thai dishes.

Decor
Wood carvings of Komodo dragons, u shape heads and feet with fingers fanned flat on the ground.
Two large frogs are in the window. A carved elephant is on the door of the gents. A huge carved hand inside the ladies. Both toilets are ground floor which is handy.
Watch the water fountain in the middle. When the small bucket fills it tips the water out.
Menu
Soto ayam - sup is soup but soto is more like a casserole, a complete meal.
The lunch time set menu of £6.95 for starter, main course and dessert is good value. About £10 each for three courses including a drink is good for London, and unusual. (In France every restaurant has to give a set price meal including the drink and service.)
We had crab soup, soto ayam and chicken satay (kebab with peanut sauce and cucumber and onion), quite filling although only two kebabs.
The set lunch menu dessert was lychees or ice cream. You got two scoops of ice cream so two of us shared and both of us had lychees and ice cream.
The cost was about £10 a head including a drink - we had mango juice and one of the oriental beers.
Excellent for the price.
Evening would be dearer, but more romantic.
Jakarta has imported a gallery-worthy array of Balinese statues and carvings to compliment their Indonesian cuisine. The art-work combines with warmly lit surroundings, providing a perfect backdrop for the authentic and extensive menu. Starters run to over twenty dishes, including a mouth-watering hot and sour Thai soup, several king prawn dishes, and sumptuous deep-fried crab claws. Jakarta also specialise in martabak - a silky combination of exotic seasonings with meat or seafood, neatly tucked in soft rice wrappers. Seafood is a particular area of expertise, although the large selection could see you still deciding your meal at closing time. Decadent options include whole crab or lobster, cooked in black bean sauce, or served fresh with sweet chilli and ginger. Two kinds of Nasi Gorang are also available. Chef´s Speciality Dish Deep fried crab claws Jakarta provides good sized portions and is excellent value for money.
