Reviews for Jerk City

Relaxed Carribean café within friendly staff and good food. Very good value.

The mutton roti was spicy and tender, just as it should be.

Seriously good Caribbean food, I love this place. As soon as you step in it feels like carnival all year round. It’s warm and vibrant atmosphere is a combination of the young and old enjoying themselves. It’s not your glam eaterie but nobody really cares when the food is this good. Regular or first timer, you’ll be welcomed with a warm smile.

I am so conflicted about this place. The food is deeply tasty but the service has let us down a few times now.

The staff are friendly, but last time they brought me the wrong dish and were so distracted by a large order they forgot about it altogether until reminded.

Also, we just tried to book for 8 people two months in advance and found out they don't taking bookings on Fridays.

The food is good, but this is an establishment clearly becoming a victim of its own success. We won't be going back.

We went on a Friday night and it was filled with patrons from a colourful mix of cultures so we took that to be a good first sign. The decor is simple and unpretentious and the walls are brightly coloured. Service is adequate. The menu comes looking a bit tattered but that's the only negative I found. The food is delicious. For starters, we had plaintains and jerk chicken wings and for mains, jerk chicken with rice & peas and curry mutton with rice & peas (the peas are more beans I thought, but whatever it really is it is surprisingly tasty and goes well with the rice and meat). The servings were so generous it left us no room for dessert. We'll definitely go back again.
