  One of the best take-aways around Tufnell Park/North Kentish Town, Eat Zone offers a variety of Singaporean, Malayesian and generally south-east flavoured dishes. It's quite unique, as I'd never had Laksa before and quite enjoyed it. Very generous portions and you can easily feed four of you for about £20-£25.
  Added bonus: I've bumnped into Julian Barratt twice when there. Unfortunately, I just managed a respectful node, which was reciprocated, but not much of a conversation. If you don't know who Julian Barratt is then please google him as you've been missing some great comedy from your lives.

  Singapore Laksa

  If like me you are looking for a Singapore Laksa outside of Singapore then look no further! Eatzone Noodle House (pan-Asian restaurant, 18 Fortess Road, London, NW5 2HB) does an excellent Laksa which not only tastes great but is fantastic value too. If anyone knows of anywhere else in London that does a good Laksa be sure to let me know :) Now in someone else's words regarding Eatzone:
  
  "The formula here is beautifully simple: bring your own booze, take a seat at one of the plain wooden benches, eat your fill of tasty, ludicrously inexpensive pan-Asian fast food and go."
  
  PS I am also rather partial to their chicken satay starter before digging into my Laksa!
