Not only Black & Blue...
Not only Black & Blue, seems this place is 'green' too. Well as a pescatarian i didn't feel 'hard done by' !
The standard of food is average, but portions are HUGE! living up to the American dining experience affiliations even the salads are a more than a meal! The ultimate test was that i was dining with a friend of mine who is very much into his 'fitness' and 'lifestyle' and a man who would not let himself go hungry. I was surprised (and intrigued) when he also order a salad. When they arrived WOW, these were the biggest salads i have ever seen - ok we opted for the 'large' option, but they weren't kidding!
I had a grilled salmon salad that came fresh from the grill ('medium' as per my specifications)atop not only leaves, but avocado, sweetcorn, tomatoes, green beans, red cabbage, oh and more hidden and nourishing delights than one can pick a fork at!
My companion had the ceasar salad with bacon, that looked crisp , fresh and more than appitising! and it must have been good as apparently this was not the first time he had ordered such a plate.
Located in Chelsea, this place is lively and noisy! But that adds to the charm - or at least American-ised dining experience.
For romance, forget it, for fun evening catching up with friends and guranteed good food in big portions then you've found the right spot! A hit, albeit it a noisy one!
