I was introduced to the Indian YMCA restaurant this by a dear friend and this is a true gem. This is part of the YMCA but the canteen style restaurant is open to anyone for lunch and dinner. There is always a mix of people eating from residents to students to business people and so on, all are welcome.

The menu varies but you will always find good, home cooked meals to eat in a lively environment. You can’t fault the price either, all in all one of my favourite places to go if I am in the area.

Visit their website for opening hours http://www.indianymca.org/ but if you are in London and want a quick bite to eat then head there and you won’t be disappointed. Don’t let the price fool you, for around £5 you can get a meal to fill you till you are bursting at the seams!
