Reviews for Hush
Tucked away in a courtyard, you can dine al fresco (popular with all the local skinny Conde Nast trustafarians who prefer smoking to eating). Inside, the tables are all at that unsociable angle wereby one diner can see the whole room and the other just the other diner and the wall. Menu was good value with toptable's current 50% off food deal; wine list SO expensive. I had a rather nice steak tartare, although presentation was such that it looked like a small flat pancake.
Flash.
An excellent luncheon at this packed Mayfair hiddeen treasure. You will need a map. Service courteous and professional. Menu a little confusing. I ordered roast beef which I was told was only a starter portion despite the fact that the menu displayed it in the centre of the page. In the event, it was quite enough for lunch although I did supplement it with courgettes and chips. My guests enjoyed lemon sole and a tuna salad. With water and coffee, the bill was £115 - so no bargain - but then no tourists either
and this place is located in hedge fund central. It has a nice, buzzy atmospheer and is good for business entertaining.
Great champagne cocktails. Hard to go wrong if you are setting out to impress, expense not a big issue option in a stylish yet relaxed environment.
Very pretty courtyard location with good bar. Always a reliable option
Located in Mayfair, just off the fashionable New Bond Street, is Hush Brasserie & Bar & Restaurant. This is a stylish place which is owned by Roger Moore's son, though there was no sign of the ex-Bond actor when we were there ; )
We dined at Hush one evening and really enjoyed the stylish atmosphere of the place. The brasserie is on the lower level, and there is a heated terrace. Upstairs is the bar and restaurant. Service was very efficient, though we did get the feeling that we were being rushed through our meal.
We actually had a free two course meal to redeem at Hush (due to points earned via a restaurant booking website), so could only choose from a small set menu. We both ended up having the Hush Hamburger, and I must say it wasn't worth writing home about.
Thankfully desserts were better - I had the Glazed Lemon Tart and my husband had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Both were really good.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere at Hush and I would recommend it you are looking for a classy night out - the upstairs bar seemed like a popular place for a mid-week drink.
