    Fun place to eat
    Current
Last time I ate at the Marylebone Giraffe restaurant I did wonder quite how they managed to employ quite so many exceedingly lively and happy waiters. It did mean that nothing was too much trouble and they were very polite and helpful, so I guess that isn't something to complain about!

The food was tasty and we went there for dinner before 7pm and so got their Giraffe time menu, which is good value for money. It is quite limited though, so you wouldn't want to go there for that menu to often if you are looking for variety. The full menu is far more extensive and has a decent mix of dishes.

A pleasant place to eat, but it can get expensive if you don't keep an eye on the prices.

I'm a fan of the Giraffe chain of restaurants, and this one is no exception. It's the first one of the 'herd' I discovered, and I remain dedicated to all the smoothies, though 'Groovy Muesli' is my favourite.

At brunch time, a smoothie and their smoked salmon and scrambled eggs is the way forward, while later on it's worth timing your visit to coincide with 'Giraffe Time' (5-7pm) if you're budget-conscious, so you can use one of the set meal options. Menu recommendations for later include the hummus and the chunky (huge) chips, as well as the noodles. Cocktails at Giraffe are also worth investigating, and again, there are deals available to reduce the impact of these on your bank balance.

Another money-saving tip: if you're going to visit giraffe, sign up on the website (www.giraffe.net) and check for vouchers beforehand.

sparky lunch place - good food

I like this place. Simple, stark (seating is rather squashed)but great service from a jolly team of waiters and super food (great burgers and a chicken dish are particular favourites). A cappuccino was lukewarm. Having consumed it, I complained politely and they brought me a second one piping hot and did not charge for it. Service is fast too. Prices are very reasonable (but they should reintroduce the lunch time burger deal which was a real winner. One word of caution: avoid the school half term and holidays when the mummies who shop seem to treat Giraffe as their substitute creche.

    Ranch style eggs tostada
    Current
I have developed a small obsession for Giraffe's epic spicy egg wrap for breakfast. They call it "Ranch Style Eggs Tostada". It's essentially scrambled eggs on a tortilla with avocado, salsa, chilli, beans, cheese and chorizo.

    It's to die for.

I've tried a few more of their dishes and they're great. But I'm not obsessed about them!
