Oh-my-gosh!!
This was my first trip to a french restaurant and was I amazed!
The moment you step in, you will be greated by a nice maitre d' to show you to your table (please book in advance, otherwise you won't be able to get in during peak hours). Staff are quick and attentive, if you are not sure about your wine selection, ask for a reccommendation - they know their wine very well.
And then there's the FOOD, the glorious food... the crab gratin was amazing, creamy, cooked and seasoned to perfection, really tasty. The garlicky tiger prawns were to die for.
The mains were just as good: the braised beef in red wine was juicy, tender and cooked to absolute perfection!
My colleague had a calf liver served with griled bacon and mashed potato. Now, am not a fan of any kind of liver at all, but I had to try. I convert - next time, I'll have it!
To finish it all off, the small, but tasty selection of desserts.... my favourite part....
Hot apple tart (served warm) with creme fraiche was delicious... sweet, yet tangy apples with cooling creme fraiche... hmmm... yummy...
My friend settled for chocolate fondant (served hot too) with ice cream, which was just devine.
I can't express enough how good their food is. French cuisine is known for being pricey, but you get a delicious meal. It's well worth it.
I'll be coming back for more!
