Emanating a classic French feel with a tranquil autumnal interior, Racine is run by Henry Harris (founder of the Fifth Floor at Harvey Nichols) and Eric Garnier (former Quaglino's owner). Serving copious amounts of drinks including champagne and many wines, a variety of gastronomic delights including smoked duck salad, potted shrimps and cream of Jerusalem artichoke soup are also available for you to enjoy. Catering for private parties of up to 18 guests is available upon request.

I had always liked Racine, and I still do, but Galvin is far superior food in a similar style.

Steak tartare is fantastic and they ask how spicy you want it, which I like. It will not disappoint. If you like offal there is always great options.

The wine list is ok, mainly French but generally well sourced.

The service can be stuffy but not overly so. I would advise a visit, based on my experiences but i have known people who have not had a good time at all.

If you go let me know how it is now.
