101A Wigmore Street, London, W1U 1QR

The first Wagamama noodle bar opened in 1992, near the British Museum in Central London, and was immediately a success. With several noodle bars in London and now nationwide, Wagamama offers a fast efficient service in a clean and modern environment.

Reviews for Wagamama

Was very quiet the first time I went. Maybe because of this, but the place looked immaculate. From entering, the staff was very attentive and welcoming. The food was delivered very quickly, and was piping hot, I was glad for this as it was such a cold day! Our waiter constantly checked on us, and I also thought the prices were quite reasonable considering the location of the restaurant. I would like to see a little for quality injected in to their restaurants, perhaps then it could be used for the quiet evening meal, currently it seems to be targeting value of money.

I love Wagamama because it is dining with a difference. The restaurants are apparently modelled on the Ramen bars that have been very popular in Japan for many years where everything is very cleanly presented and basic and the customers sit on benches with long tables.
The cuisine is very oriental with loads of side dishes and noodles and rice with everything. Service is quick because they take your order electronically which is then beamed to the kitchen and they almost begin cooking your meal before the waitress has finished taking your order.
The can also serve a variety of drinks with your meal but it can be really good value to just drink the endless supply of green tea that they offer because it is free.

I have been to this branch a number of times and have been really impressed with service and standards on all visits.
My first visit, there was a mistake in the order, received a complete free meal, got to keep the original one and a doggy bag to take away all the food we couldn't eat then!
The staff are very pleasant and helpful and will explain the menu knowledgably if you haven't been before. I love noodles...so obviously I am biased...but the food is great and really does cater for many tastes....spicy, vegetarian, noodles, rice, whatever takes your fancy. and free green tea as well...the best green tea I've ever had!
The downside.... is that they are not the kind of restaurants for a romantic meal for two due to the seating arrangements...but hey I never get romantic meals for two!

As a fan of Wagamama, I have been satisfied with the other branches across London. This was my first visit to the Wigmore Street branch. You walk in along the pathway inside and are swiftly seated.

The staff where friendly and took orders in no time. We were told our food will come at different a time which is expected, but once I had received my plate, it took another 10 minutes after that for my girlfriend’s food to arrive. I thought I would not be rude and wait for hers to arrive so we can both start eating. By the time hers had arrived my food was becoming slow.

Other than that, if you have been to Wagamama's before it's really the same. Would recommend this branch if you’re in the area with nice staff.
