Heathcoat House,20 Savile Row, London, W1S 3PR

Opened in 1998, Sartoria brings modern Italian cooking to Savile Row, the heartland of English tailoring.

The restaurant is elegant and airy, a result of a design based largely on Italian rationalism of the 1930’s. Travertine marble, grey carpeting, white tablecloths and embroidered anti macassars create clean lines and a certain formality.

Reviews for Sartoria

Recently came here on a top-table fixed price deal.
The restaurant looks very smart but is a little tucked away a bit off the bright lights of Regent Street.
The menu is excellent and the kitchen's execution is superb. In terms of value for money you couldn't be dissapointed.
However the restaurant was very quiet on the Saturday night we went and with the large open dining room the atmosphere was not as welcoming at is should have been.
The aircon was a bit OTT too - and when we highlighted it the staff didn't really seem to believe there was much they could do to ease the chill. Which didn't make much sense as it was snowing outside.
Great food, good value on fixed price menu but so many details to work on otherwise.

Being a fan of Savile Row for its more garment-oriented establishments, Sartoria does its best to live up to the reputation of quality and service that has earned the street its global reputation. Staff are dressed in slick suits, and tailoring paraphernalia adorn the walls. Head chef Alan Marchetti has created a staple menu of modern Italian dishes that are delicious if a little unadventurous - but do we expect more from a Conran restaurant? Ideal for a business lunch as its rarely buzzing mid-week, but if you're a fan of Italian wine, be sure to take a client or associate that will join you in a glass or two as I missed out on my most recent visit due to non-drinkers in the party.
