Motcombs is a high-end restaurant, bistro and bar. The smart bar is upstairs and serves bistro food while downstairs is a smart and warmly decorated room, offering dishes from an extensive and creative European menu. There is also a shellfish bar. They can cater for private parties of up to 20 people. A private members club is located across the street, decorated in the style of a chic Belgravia house.

I visited Motcombs with a regular who couldn't recommend this place enough, it was easy to see the appeal in this well-presented, warm and friendly basement restaurant.
From the menu I had a very delicate Mushroom Risotto for a starter and a good, cooked-to-order steak for a main. To accompany the meal we had a very nice rioja from the wine list.
The table service was very good, on-hand while discrete, exactly what we needed.
I look forward to visiting again and selecting a main dish from the specials.
