Reviews for Chai Pani
A revolting disappointment.
I ate here a few months ago to find disastrous food, a morgue-like sense of place, and no sense of service.
Very expensive and given the numerous accolades displayed in the window, one can only assume the proceeds from this profit swindling enterprise have been used to bribe the judges.
Please steer clear.
Chai Pani is London´s first and only Rajasthani Indian Vegetarian Restaurant They offer an array of delicious and unusual dishes infused with judicious flavours and spicing rarely seen in any London´s Indian vegetarian menus. Classics such as Dahl Baati Churma, and vegetable dishes made with dried wild berries and beans, continue the timeless Rajasthani tradition of serving rare and unusual dishes in a guest´s honour. As if that wasn´t enough, customers can visit the ´Chai Pani Bazaar´ and purchase some of the exquisite and traditional Rajasthani artefacts. A few reviews: 'I don´t think I´ve had quite such a profoundly vegetarian meal as at this charming restaurant……' Fay Maschler Evening Standard 'There´s first class puri…..fragrant rice and small dense sugary gullgulla donuts.' The Guardian´s Guide Magazine 'Chai Pani offers authentic homestyle Marwari cooking………its bound to become a hit…if you are fond of Indian food, do give this restaurant a try….' Time Out
