    Big place nice food

On both occasions the food was reasonably priced and delicious. The place is quite big and the atmosphere is hip and trendy with nice low lights. Recommend the lamb, mussels and prawns. Don't expect intimacy but its good value for going out with mates.

Cheap Meal in the heart of Piccadilly

Sugar Reef is located just off Piccadilly Circus, and has a large restaurant and separate bar. It has Happy Hour each day and special offer dining throughout the week. We ate there one night before seeing the musical 'Cabaret'.

Our booking was for 6pm and I was pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant already pretty busy - and relieved, as it really added to the atmosphere of the place. Service was friendly enough and efficient, allowing us to have 2 courses in less than 90 minutes which was perfect for our pre-theatre meal.

We didn't have time for starters, so went straight to the main meal. We had the Sticky Chilli Lamb Rump with sweet potato wedges, coriander yoghurt and the Rib Eye Steak with a Bearnaise sauce, chunky chips and a petite salad. The lamb rump was actually really tasty, as were the sweet potato wedges. For dessert we tried the Deep Dish Apple Pie and the Gooey Chocolate Souffle Tart - which was as decadent as it sounds!
