Have you (or anyone else) been back since?

My friends who have been past of late have said each time that Beach Burrito Cafe has been closed.

I'm dying to try this place...

We were really excited when we found out a burrito place was going to open near out work space on Poland Street several months ago. It is _so_ worth it. Really really friendly people, excellent food and normal prices. Been going there for several months and we keep going even though we moved down to Covent Garden. Do not underestimate the divine power of the burrito.

Being from San Diego, I love Mexican food. I think they have the right idea, fresh, good portions, etc. The first time I went the food was cold. Not one to give up on a good Mexican food place I tried again.. Cold food again. I sent a workmate and he said the same thing. Warm it up! Gracias!

Have they managed to warm the food up yet?

This place is cheap but the food is strictly ordinary - not at all bad but it's never going to blow your mind. But given the paucity of decent Mexican cuisine in London, you'll probably be pleased enough here.

I'll second rkn's commendation - I was taken here by a friend recently moved over from San Francisco and even he was impressed.

I have always been saddened by the lack of good, cheap, Mexican street food in London - the city where you are meant to be able to find anything.

Previously I had to satisfy my urge with a sit down meal at the excellent Cafe Sol in Clapham High Street. But today I went to the Beach Burrito Cafe in Soho and I'm glad to say it was excellent!

Cheap, friendly, massive portions (I very much over-ordered) and really, really tasty. All freshly made right in front of you, with boxes of fresh veg piled high on the counter.
