Reviews for Maroush II
One of my favourite dining experiences so far... I used to live in Israel and I find it really hard to find restaurants where they serve food that is true to the middle Eastern flavour, but as far as London goes, Maroush is brilliant.
Your meal starts with a bowl of fresh vegetables on the table which you cut up and share amongst yourselves as you please, excellent olives, and hot pita fresh out of the oven. This is by no means fancy eating, but it's incredibly fresh and such a pleasure to eat, especially if you are looking to try a number of different flavours or food combinations.
We generally order a number of mezze and share, and then go on to a main course. After dinner, they bring out a huge tray of freshly-cut fruit, baklava, and sometimes other treats. Mezze can either be hot or cold, and your main course generally comes off of the grill.
I could eat here every day, the food is so good. It's so nice to finally be able to find a place that truly possesses both the menu and the atmosphere that I've been looking for, for so long.
