Reviews for Truc Vert

Truc Vert looks charming enough and the waiter was kind of friendly (in an irritating kind of way). But the food... utterly boring, expensive and uninspiring. Very disappointing.

Vegetable broth = thick chunky dull vegetable soup with bits of what looked like tinned tomato.

Swordfish on a bed of tomato risotto = swordfish was ok but risotto was nothing to write home about and I was anticipating something interesting.

I'm probably being harsh but I do feel the need to share. I would avoid this place and would not go back. Maybe the rather nice looking vibe sets the standard too high (beware the chairs are rather un-comfy too...meh).

ok - it is pricy but sweet...
first time I came for a coffee and scone-very good quality! atmosphere is lovely and warm. Second time I had a main course for about £9- some sausages and vegetables- very small portion. it was tasty but doesn't worth the price- definitely coming back for coffee and pastry but not for food...

Feels like a farm kitchen in the middle of London. Not the cheapest or best of food, but fantastic service and atmosphere.

Truc Vert is a wonderful cafe tucked away on North Audley Street, only a minute's walk from Selfridges.

The wooden tables add to the ambience and the cafe is light and airy. There are a few tables outside for the occasional day that allows you to be seated outside.

Service is friendly and informal. Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to actually find someone to pay the bill, but on the whole I have liked the service.

The menu varies daily and is a decent mixture of salads, soup, fish and meat - all french in design of course!

Truc Vert is a cosy friendly French deli / restaurant in Mayfair. I recommend it for business meetings and for pleasure. Service was efficient, breakfast was good and ambiance was busy but not loud. However, I found the coffee a little too strong and the orange juice a little too weak.

The place is frequented by Mayfair venture capitalists, (we ran into at least two while we were there), so you may need to keep your voice down if you're doing a deal.

Truc Vert have opened another venue in Cambridge. Perhaps they really are going after the VC market!
