    I love this place.

I have little else to add but that it the complete opposite of the word sombre.
Please visit and eat a small piece of sunny heart like love.
    Really, words are not sufficient.
Be warned, the clumsy, ineloquent and alarming turquoise interior will stay with you and you will go back.
Luckily, it is also rather cheap.

There is something about Song Que which means if you haven't been for a wee while you start to encounter withdrawal symptons.

The beef pho is absolutely stunning. If you are feeling a bit down with the cold or recovering from flu this stuff will put you back on track.

Comfort eating of the highest order

    Good Vietnamese Find

An authenthic value-for-money Vietnamese joint - If you have ever had one of those days where you were pining for a big steaming bowl of vietnamese beef noodles that taste like what it should (most aussies will know what I mean) without having to fork out a ridiculous sum of pounds, this is it! The location ain't so fab, but hey what the hell, its one of those places where you have a quick satisfying lunch and shoot to continue the rest of your day :)

    Good

Cheap, but good and fresh-tasting food.

Service is hilariously gruff. Hold on to your drinks; they are liable to be removed if <30% full.

Definitely worth a visit. More suitable for groups than a romantic dinner for two!

    Cheap, tasty, authentic. Recommended.

Was introduced to this restaurant by a friend who spends a fair amount of time hunting for places to eat in East London, and I am in his debt.

We came on a Sunday at lunchtime, when is was packed, but were lucky to get a table right away.

You can tell right away that the money is spent on the food, not the decor in the place - portions were mammoth, and the food was really fresh, and bursting with flavour.

There are over 180 different dishes on the menu, with some a range of Vietnamese 'Pho' noodle soup variants.

Service is friendly, if slightly forgetful, but for but when three of us ate like kings for less than 40 quid, that can be forgiven.

The best vietnamese I've had in London... Decore is authentically plastic and tacky, rice paper rolls are fresh and tasty and the pho is tops. Go!

    Excellent Vietnamese Food
    Current
Located on Kingsland Road, Londons Vietnamese restaurant mile, Song Que is probably the best Vietnamese in East London.

The Pho (beef noodle soup) are consistently good, as are the grilled pork, spring roll, herb and vermicelli noodle combos. The spicy squid starter is sublime. Generally everything on the menu is around a fiver so you can eat well cheaply.

Downsides, some of the other less Vietnamese more Chinese dishes can be a bit hit or miss. And in true Vietnamese style *some* of the waiters can be somewhat abrupt and forget drinks orders and so on. But on whole this is an excellent place to go for Vietnamese food.
